In this blog I aim to distill down our wonderful time together on this pilgrimage. It is always difficult to express in words the impact that the Holy Spirit has on the human person, as these encounters are always beyond personal, they become life forming and so often this formation does not take shape for many years after the encounter took place. This I would suggest is going to be true of our Listening to the Light peregrination.
The Rule of St. Columba is a 7th century monastic rule that is typical of early British and Irish Monastic practice. Attributed to St. Columba of Iona.
In this inaugural blog on behalf of The Society of S. Columba I want to reflect not on an organisational or missional introduction, as to why we have formed the society. It exists because we exist as a group of people re-discovering an ancient simple truth as journey towards the heart of God. A truth that we are called to ‘be alone with God’.
